We've taken a close look at this seasons Levi's Skate collection of denim and work pants, to help choose the best cut and fit for you. 

We've just taken delivery of a fresh drop Levi's Skateboarding jeans and work pants for Fall/Winter '18, and in a world of endless choices how do you find the right cut and fit for you? With that in mind we've taken a closer look at the Levi's Skate 501, 511, 512 and Work Pants, and given you a simple breakdown to help you make your choice a little easier. 

All of us have our personal preferences when it comes to how we want our jeans to look, whether it's a certain wash or cut. But if you're looking to change things up or even go a bit out of your comfort zones you may find some of these fit breakdowns can help you with your decision making. 

It's probably best to start with the worlds best known and most iconic jean, the Levi's 501 which has been a feature in the skate collection for a few seasons now. Bringing you everything that the original Red Tab 501 jeans have, then add the hard wearing technichal materials and added reinforcements that you only get in the Skateboarding collection.

The Levi's Skate 501 are exactly the same fit as the classic 501 but remixed with a slight taper in the leg, designed to sit on the waist with a regular fit around the thighs and come down to a 17" leg opening at the bottom. We've worn these true to size and turned up at the ankle, but they also look good worn over-sized and baggy for more of an early 90's skate vibe. For this season they're available in two colours Dip Stick and Morningside.  

If it's something a little slimmer that you're after then the Levi's Skate 511 jean is ideal for you, worn just below the hip with a slim fit and taper all the way from hip to ankle. These have been made with a 2% Elastane construction to provide incredible movement and flexibility despite the slim fit, which means you can rock out in tight jeans but not have to hold back on your Benihanas.

The Levi's 512 jean has a similar slim sillhouette to the 511, just a little slimmer all the way down that comes to a 13 1/4" leg opening at the bottom. Again these are made with a Cotton/Elastane construction for comfort and durabilty in a slim pant, best worn just off the waist and probably suiting a slimmer frame best. 

 The Levi's Work Pant has been a favourite at Bored for a few years now and what's not to like, they're a classic cut work pant with a regular fit through the thigh and slightly tapering down to a 15 1/2" leg opening. As well as classic colours like the Ivy Green they also come in a Navy Pin Stripe which is new for Fall/Winter '18. Both coming with red tab detailing and an embroidered label on the rear.

Levi's have designed these for endless functionality as well as everyday use, they are a perfect all-round pant that will take everything a skater can throw at them. And they wear so well you won't even have to change after you finish up at the call centre for the day, just head straight out for a roll with your bros cos you're looking good to go! We've modelled these true to size but again they'll also look just as good worn over-sized or even baggy.

 Last up are the Levi's Skate Pleated Trousers which are another new addition for Fall/Winter '18, they've got a vintage cut with single pleat details at the front and a wide leg and slight taper. The wide/chunky corduroy and loose fit give these a great 90's retro feel, and the Vintage Indigo and Bombay Brown colours they come in only add to the retro vibe of these beauties. But if you prefer a slim and fitted trouser these may not the ones for you.  

They're made from a cotton, polyester and polyamide blend and feature a zip fly opening, Levi's red tab detailing and an embroidered label on the rear. There's pockets in all the usual places at the front and back, as well as a small consealed stash pocket to hide any little secrets. We can see these being a huge hit, and think they're the perfect pant to pull off that cosmopolitan Euro skater look you're after. You can be sure that they're just as good to smoke Gauloises in as they are to do no-comply's and slappies in down the street.
