Bored's Easter Friday Milton Jam

Bored's Easter Friday Milton Jam

Take a look at what went down at our Easter Friday Milton Jam last weekend.

Last weekend Bored hosted it's Easter Friday Milton Jam, our first skate event of the year at our local skatepark Milton, and it was a scorcher. Thanks to the hottest Easter Bank Holiday on record it was more like the middle of summer, with many of the skaters having to seek any shade they could find between events. The fun kicked off from around midday, with under and over 18's mini-comps and games of S.K.A.T.E going down. As well as best trick jams on the manual block and over the driveway, and a carcass toss in the form of longest ollie out of the kicker.

All of the locals and friends of the store turned out for the jam, and there was also a good showing of skaters coming from around the South to "get some" and graze their skin on our rough little patch of ground, which is really rad. Nearly everyone joined in with at least one event and their was just as many prizes handed out for landing something we liked as their was for the big winners. Let alone the product toss and scramble for the finale.

Our man Alfie Sexton threw himself further anyone else via the medium of huge pop, while Jake Skinner of  Indoor Skatepark Project and Wooden Wife Skateboards managed to fight off an army of youthful competition to win the game of S.K.A.T.E. And Sammy Snake from the Gosport massive even won the coveted turkey baster for a backside heelflip over the driveway, which was kindly donated by Rock Solid Distribution (amongst other awesome prizes).

We couldn't have had better weather and the vibes were as good as the skating, we really appreciate everyone coming down to skate with us and hang out. As ever we can't do any of this without the incredible support from all of the skate brands and distribution companies that generously sent the prize packages, so a very big thank you and shout out to Sour Skateboards, Independent Trucks, Nike SB, Polar Skate Co, Spitfire Wheels, Hockey Skateboards, Butter Goods, Santa Cruz Skateboards, Bones Wheels, 14:01 Skateboard Co, Signature Clothing and Skate Cafe.
