Last week, Carhartt WIP celebrated 50 years of their iconic Active Jacket, and marked the occasion with a takeover of the Herzog & de Meuron Tanks in London’s Tate Modern. The space held a collaborative installation between Carhartt WIP and Thomas Subreville's Ill-Studio, which combined the subject matter with video, audio and a series of live performances that showcased the Active Jacket as a fixed object in an ever-changing world. We were lucky enough to be invited to the exclusive event and celebrate the rich history of this legendary workwear staple that has far surpassed its original utilitarian purpose.
