New Balance Numeric are set to release the much anticipated New Balance Numeric 440 Hi Tom Knox Shoe in White/Sea Salt/Turquoise, which is a high collared remix of Toms debut NB# 400 colourway from 2019. Which was then was followed up with the all black version of the 440 Hi, coming with 3M reflective accents and subtle burnt red detailing. So this time round Tom and the team at New Balance Numeric decided to combine the colourway of his first shoe with the high top silhouette of the second, and this is the result. A modern retro high-top kick with the look of a 70's court shoe, blending modern technology with soft cushioning to create a go-to shoe for both everyday skate and wear.
It's been a hell of a year for Tom Knox, he's had his own capsule collection for Dickies, as well as putting out his incredible "Loose Ends" part for them. As well as his one-man destruction mission on the St Pauls steps for Thrasher Magazine's Atlantic Drift series, shot by his best friend Jacob Elliot-Harris. And all of this has earned him a well deserved S.O.T.Y nomination. So there's no wonder all of this hard is being rewarded with another pro shoe for NB.
The NB# 440 Hi is a skate shoe truely built for purpose, constructed with water-resistant ballistic nylon side-walls and double layered full-grain premium leather overlays. The heel is cushioned with New Balance's unrivaled C-Cap internal heel wedge in the midsole for added impact protection. And finished with the Ndurance outsole providing grip in all terrains a skateboarder may be facing.
