Static: A Filmers Perspective

Static: A Filmers Perspective

Josh Stewart, Dan McGee, & Al Hogson discuss the Static video series for Vague Skate Mag.

Vague Skate Mag recently brought together three of our favourite skate filmmakers, delving deep into the legendary Static skate video series. From filming techniques to iconic locations, premieres to the inherent challenges of capturing skateboarding on film, and the enduring significance of full-length features, to the legacy of the 'Static' video series, which has been running now for an incredible 25 years. The talent packed panel consists of 'Static' creator Josh Stewart, Dan Magee, the creative force behind Blueprint Skateboards, and Al Hodgson, mastermind behind Orwellian World Landscape hailing from Brighton. The three lensmen give some fascinating perspectives, and if you're a fan of classic skate videos this is a must watch.
